A pertinent recent comment on my blog. I reproduce part of it here:

The problem I have with criticism of your work is that it’s religious in nature and the people conducting the criticism are frankly not qualified enough to be passing judgment. For such a prominent issue, we need prominent referees, especially given the novel math employed. Journals are a joke these days, so I don’t accept their vetting on such a novel argument. The reproducibility crisis reveals they are in a massive credibility meltdown and can’t be trusted in an age of hyperspecialism and information overload. What surprises me is that the actual physics community has been afraid to directly engage you. Getting a self-righteous statistician in the Netherlands to do it for them is quite cowardly and comical, even if he’s right. Vicious blog trolls like Luboš Motl (long disgraced from the physics community) just copy-and-paste criticism and confess ignorance of geometric algebra, as did Gill. This is the same community that endorses the multiverse, SUSY, unprovable black hole theories, quantum computers and non-empirical string theory and E8 speculations.

To someone unfamiliar with the contents of my papers Gill's comments may seem smart and intelligent, but to me they always look like that of a C-grade student who is stuck on a problem because of a total lack of talent in simple mathematics. :)

There are lies, damned lies, and statistics.

Richard D. Gill is a professor of statistics. :)

For the record, I have posted following comments about an unpublished "critique" of work by Richard D. Gill: https://www.researchgate.net/publicatio ... 7s_Theorem

I see that Richard Gill is still refuting your paper on the internet (as the only one who bothers to do this). I agree that he must have some issues. Why keep beating a dead horse to death? It makes no sense.

To R. Gill: The horse is dead. The paper you keep criticising is not discussed anywhere else on the net. Stop beating the dead horse.

I couldn't agree more. Richard D. Gill seems to have some serious psychological problems. But some participants of this forum already knew that from our past interactions with him here.

He has no expertise or peer-reviewed publication record in geometric algebra, division algebras, differential geometry, topology, fiber bundles, or general relativity on which my papers are founded. Consequently, his mistakes and misunderstandings are easy to recognize. Since there are no mistakes in my latest paper whatsoever, let alone "mathematical mistakes", it is not surprising that no one with required expertise in Geometric Algebra has published a criticism of my work (or supported Gill's claims of mistakes in it) even though he has been relentlessly trying to undermine it for the past eight years all over the Internet. On the contrary, to date there have been at least 1,941 PDF downloads of my published paper according to the official records of the Royal Society of London:

Not to mention additional PDF downloads of my paper from the physics arXiv, Academia.Edu, ReseachGate, and LinkedIn websites. Surely, with more than 2,000 PDF downloads of the paper, someone with the required expertise would have noticed the alleged mistakes claimed by Gill.

I hear that Richard D. Gill has been permanently banned from posting on the arXiv since mid-2015 after he tried to post an error-filled critique of my local-realistic model for the quantum correlations. Apparently, the archive moderators did not approve the abusive and unprofessional language Gill used throughout his paper, apart from it being a manifestly c****pot paper. :)

I hear that Scott Aaronson too has been kicked out of MIT and is now in exile in Texas. Slowly but surely the evildoers are being punished by the otherwise sluggish wheels of academia. :)
